Movement journal

Latest 12 events shown. Entries are retained in this workspace; corrections are new count entries. Backups are user-editable and are not tamper-proof accounting records.

Planning limits

This free browser workspace tracks one stock location. It records orders you already placed elsewhere and suggests quantities from your own demand, lead-time and pack-size settings. It does not send supplier orders or predict demand. Read the workflow and worked reorder example, or review device storage, backups and preview limits.

Backups and access

Stock and order history save in this browser profile. Export a backup before clearing browser data or changing devices. Anyone using this profile can access it.

Add an item

SKU, unit and currency are fixed after creation. Unit cost is a planning estimate, not an accounting cost-basis method.

Reorder assumptions

Use your own expected demand and supplier terms. Quantities support 3 decimal places; cost supports 2. Suggestions are estimates, not automatically learned forecasts.

Record movement

Incoming order lines

Latest 100 order lines, including received and cancelled lines. The full record is in the workspace backup and journal. Receiving an order updates stock and its remaining quantity together.

Data tools

Workspace backup

Preserves all items, planning changes, stock history and incoming orders. Restoring replaces the device workspace after confirmation.

Item CSV

Import new SKUs only using the 13-column template. All records validate before any are added. Existing SKUs are never overwritten. A snapshot carries current stock and rules; it omits incoming orders and prior journal entries.

CSV text that could be interpreted as a spreadsheet formula receives a leading apostrophe. Use JSON backups for exact restoration of arbitrary text.

Clear the device workspace

This removes the workspace after confirmation. Export a backup first if you need its history.

How it works

Exact movements, one stock location

Each SKU has its own unit and currency. Opening stock, receipts, usage and counts are recorded as events using exact quantities. A count records the difference from the current balance; it does not erase earlier entries. Negative stock is rejected. No unit or currency conversion is performed.

Incoming stock

Record an order line after you place an order outside this app. Each supplier/order reference/SKU combination can be entered once. Receive part or all of its outstanding quantity; stock and the order update together. Cancelling an unreceived remainder does not remove stock already delivered. Overdue dates are reminders, not live supplier status.

Reorder calculations

Reorder point = planned daily use × lead days + safety stock. Target = planned daily use × (lead days + review days) + safety stock. Position = on-hand + incoming. If position is at or below the reorder point and below target, the suggested order is the greater of (target − position) and minimum order, rounded up to a whole pack. No suggestion is made when there is no shortfall.

All open incoming quantities count toward position, including overdue orders. Inspect overdue orders before relying on a suggestion. Reservations, backorders, multiple locations, supplier availability and automatically inferred demand are not modeled. Planned daily use is your assumption.

Value and records

Value estimates use current unit cost × stock, rounded half-up to two decimals per SKU. Currencies remain separate. These are not FIFO/LIFO, tax or financial accounting valuations. Local timestamps reflect this device’s clock. Backups are editable; the journal is traceable but not tamper-proof.

Privacy and recovery

Items and events save in this browser’s IndexedDB. The browser profile is the access boundary; anyone using it can read the workspace. No uploads, analytics, external fonts or model calls. The host receives normal page requests. Clearing site data deletes local records. Export JSON backups regularly. Conflicting tabs and failed storage writes require exporting the in-memory backup before reload.

Preview limits

500 items, 10,000 journal events, one location, 3-decimal quantities, 2-decimal costs, 12 MB backup imports and 2 MB / 500-record CSV imports. Maximum on-hand or incoming quantity per SKU is 999,999,999.999. Supported currencies: USD, CAD, EUR, GBP and AUD. There are no accounts, supplier orders sent, payments, subscriptions, cloud sync or APIs in this free local preview.
